How Does DTF Transfer Work?

The process follows these steps:

  • 1. DESIGN PREPARATION:

    The initial step is preparing your design. Whether you are using graphic design software to create your artwork, or you need some assistance from our design experts, we make sure it’s done in high resolution to guarantee crisp and clear prints. Ideal for intricate logos, photographs, and artistic illustrations, DTF transfer facilitates complex designs with multiple colors and fine details.

  • 2. PRINTING ON DTF FILM:

    Once your design is finalized, we print it onto a special DTF film using a DTF printer. These printers use pigment-based inks that deliver lively colors and excellent durability. A layer of adhesive powder is then applied to the printed film to ensure the design adheres to the fabric during the transfer process.

  • 3. CURING THE FILM:

    Following the printing process, the DTF film is cured to set the ink and adhesive powder. This is typically done utilizing a heat press, a heat gun, or a curing oven. This step guarantees that the design is ready for transfer and will adhere correctly to the fabric.

  • 4. HEAT TRANSFER:

    The last step is transferring the design to the fabric. Our crew affixes the cured DTF film onto the garment and uses a heat press or heat gun, depending on the design size, to apply heat and pressure. This causes the adhesive to melt and bond the design to the fabric, resulting in a bright, durable print.
